Payment and delivery apps will transform the future of foodservice

The market still faces many bottlenecks that hamper growth and monitoring consumer behavior has been fundamental for companies to remain competitive.

The economic, technological and consumer trends dynamics are those that change very quickly and dictate the future in all sectors of the market. Foodservice is no different. The sector has 160 million consumers per month in Brazil, according to the Foodservice Institute in Brazil, and yet the challenges remain with other sectors of the economy in Brazil: when there is an economic crisis and the consumer’s purchasing power is reduced the first item to being passed over is leisure. It is necessary to discuss on the subject with those who are working directly in the area”, explains Percival Maricato, president of Abrasel.

One of the main issues that will be addressed at the meeting is changes in the ways of consuming. “The current scenario shows a fantastic development in delivery and payment applications. It is necessary to keep tracks of developments and move forwards to innovation to face the fierce competition that is typical in the segment. Entrepreneurs have to improve each day, reducing costs, increasing sales, seek for continuous-qualification”, Maricato says.
