In its second edition, ANUFOOD Brazil, international trade show exclusively for the food and beverage sector, doubles the number of exhibitors and will include a comprehensive programme of special events and projects

The exhibition will showcase over 400 exhibiting brands and expects to be visited by 10,000 industry professionals.  Attractions and special projects will include a wide array of interactive activities from B2B matchmaking to technology and equipment showrooms, from technical classes on confectionery to pizza tastings 

 ANUFOOD Brazil, the only exhibition in Brazil exclusively focused on the food and beverage industry, will hold its second edition on March 09-11 in Sao Paulo (Brazil), and it expects to be visited by over 10,000 professionals and business owners from diverse industries, such as foodservice (restaurants, bars, hotels, etc), importers, distributors, wholesalers, supermarkets and other retailers. The exhibition’s official sponsor is Makro Food Service.

The event, the Brazilian version of Anuga – the largest exhibition in the world for the food and beverage industry – will be held in an area of approximately 14,000 sqm and will showcase exhibitors from 24 countries, including 12 official international pavilions.  „We will have at least 400 exhibiting brands, which represents an increase of 100% compared to last year’s edition,“ celebrates Cassiano Facchinetti, Managing Director of Koelnmesse Brasil, organizer of the exhibition.  “Over 85% of the exhibition spaces have already been sold, which is the result of the success of ANUFOOD Brazil’s first edition in 2019.“ According to the executive, the event’s success reaffirms the food and beverage industry’s need for an exhibition in Brazil 100% focused on this industry and its most important issues.

In addition to the exhibition space, ANUFOOD Brazil will offer an extensive programme of parallel events.  A series of special activities has been organized in order to promote even greater interactivity among the attendees and stimulate dialogue about the future of the food and beverage industry, in several aspects, such as consumer behaviour tendencies, productivity and innovation, health, food safety and sustainability.

Some Attractions at ANUFOOD Brazil 2020:

Sindal Showroom of Equipment and Technology

SINDAL (Syndicate of Manufacturers of Equipment, Suppliers, Service Providers, Building and Maintenance Providers for Professional Kitchens) will be showcasing its inaugural edition of:  Showroom of Equipment and Technology (Brazilian and international), which will be an exclusive space on the exhibition floor dedicated to technology, innovation, knowledge-exchange and networking for the foodservice industry.

Espaço Descobertas (Discovery Space)

The Espaço Descobertas (Discovery Space) will present categories and products that are much aligned with the fast-changing demands of today’s consumer – interested in a healthy lifestyle, niche product offerings and sustainability.  The exhibition space will showcase brands from Brazil’s leading entrepreneurs who look to innovate in their respective product segments, whether it includes innovation through special or natural ingredients, or through the focus on highlighting unique flavours via craft and artisan products.

Espaco Encontro Vegano (Vegan Meeting Point Space)

The Espaço Encontro Vegano (Vegan Meeting Point Space), organized in partnership with JMA, will include companies that offer original products that are not tested on animals and do not include ingredients of animal origin.  In addition to the exhibition space, several interactive activities have been scheduled for the exhibition’s attendees, such as tastings of plant-based products, including sausages, hamburgers, cookies, cheeses and chocolates, as well as speaking sessions from industry specialists.  For example, Ken Spector, Director of Happy Cow, the largest guide in the world for vegan/vegetarian and health food restaurants, is scheduled to speak on March 11th.

Food Tech Connection

The Food Tech Connection, organized in partnership with Fomehub – the first platform of information, education and networking for the food and beverage value chain in Brazil – will showcase new products and services, as well as present a series of speaking sessions from leading startups and food techs that offer innovative solutions for agriculture, manufacturing, retail and foodservice.

Embrapa

Embrapa (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, under the aegis of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply) will present technological solutions from over ten of its decentralized units from various Brazilian states at ANUFOOD Brazil.  The space on the exhibition floor will include a booth, dedicated to the showcasing of innovative services and products that are available to the visitor audience, and it will serve as a meeting point with the goal of generating opportunities for new partnerships between Embrapa and the private sector.  According to Embrapa, the booth space will be the ideal environment for attendees to evaluate the latest market trends.

 Confectionery & Bread Making Show

At the Confectionery & Bread Making Show, attendees will be able to update and perfect their baking knowledge with a series of class-shows presented by specialists from SENAI (National Service of Industrial Learning) Barra Funda Unit.  In addition to the programme of presentations, speaking sessions and class-shows, attendees will be able to learn about the formats and content of the diverse offering of courses at SENAI, which help to develop and prepare students for today’s most modern technologies.

ConPizza School

Available in the Arena Gourmet (Gourmet Arena), the ConPizza space will be completely dedicated to pizza aficionados.  Several specialists will present a programme rich in value-added content about the pizza industry and its latest trends and innovations.

You can expect high-level discussions and workshops about the latest industry trends and new inspirations from Italian cuisine – in addition to food tastings, of course!  At the center of everything, pizza, unanimously a favourite in Brazil and around the world.
