ANUFOOD Brazil will provide new exclusive areas dedicated to new local, healthy and sustainable Brazilian brands

Promoted by Local.e platform, Discoveries Space has the purpose to present innovative brands and products. ANUFOOD Brazil, an exclusive trade fair for the food a beverage industry, it will take place in March, in São Paulo

The consumer market is extremely dynamic, mainly in the food and beverage categories. New brands, categories and products are frequently released to attend the demands of those buyers who are constantly changing and are increasingly concerned with our planet’s health and the sustainability.

In that context, ANUFOOD Brazil 2020, International Trade Show Exclusively for the food and beverage sector, will provide an exclusive area dedicated to showcase the biggest releases for the visitors, from large supermarket executives to small emporiums, trendy pizza place owners or family bakeries: that’s Discoveries Space.

“The Discoveries Space qualifies ANUFOOD Brazil as a showcase for releases and innovating products, as well as the newest trends in the food and beverage sector”, states Cassiano Facchinetti, managing director of Koelnmesse Brasil, organizer of the event.

The space will highlight those brands seeking to innovate in their segments by either releasing new categories, using different and natural ingredients or bringing the homemade flavor back to the Brazilians’ table. The area will be promoted by Local.e, a digital platform that connects retailers to local brands thereby helping the discovery of new products.

“Diverse trends have come up in recent years: concern with the healthiness, awareness regarding the products source, the rise of the plant based, vegan and organic categories. In the face of so many changes, it becomes even more relevant to have an updated assortment”, states Leila Okumura, co-founder of Local.e. “For that reason it’s necessary to change the way partnerships with suppliers are established. In the race for differentiation, the winners are those who can discover new products that haven’t been discovered by others”.

According to Leila, different commercial practices are being embraced by several companies, which has brought good results. For example, a large Brazilian retailer has created a specific department to deal with new brands providing unique offers and special support. A Brazilian regional supermarket has invested in a local gourmet coffee brand, supports its promotion and development. Currently it is the best-selling coffee in the shop outperforming the leading and traditional brand.

There are six Brazilian brands confirmed for Discoveries Space at ANUFOOD Brazil 2020, which are:

  • Babuxca: mixed Alcoholic beverages made with 100% natural ingredients
  • Black Tucano: gourmet coffee
  • Coma Harus: healthy snacks
  • DUQuintal: 100% natural seasoning
  • Jambuzera: organic cachaça made with jambu
  • Kiro: released the first Brazilian Switchel, a millennial natural isotonic drink
  • L’Epicier: antipasti and jams without conservatives or artificial colorings
  • OffGluten: Products free from gluten, milk and soy derivatives
  • Orbeat Foods: Natural functional energy balls
  • Só Snacks: fruit rolls
  • Strumpf: ketchup, mustard and sauces
  • Troppo: manufacturer of handmade jams and relish
  • Vivant: canned wines

The ANUFOOD Brazil, the only fair exclusive for the food and beverage sector of Latin America will happen between March 9th and 11th, in São Paulo. Brazilian version of the Anuga, the world´s biggest fair of the sector, will occupy an area close to 4 thousand sq. M. covering 11 international pavilions. It is expected to receive over 10 thousand qualified visitors for its second edition.
